Two articles in a matter of hours, but just thought i'd let you all know that Tommy Miller has signed for Huddersfield.
Wonder if letting him go could be a mistake, as they're our main rivals this season after all.
I think we would all agree he is better than JoC, so it does seem a strange move to release him.
Thoughts?
Tommy Miller

They're welcome to the deadwood to be fair. I'm glad he's left our physio room for theirs!

Hartlepool rejected him as well. Poor last season and will probably be even worse next season.

He's not a bad signing. But I think Semedo and Prutton are much better signings, and he certainly isn't a replacement for Pilkington.

Over the past few days on paper we have become stronger and Huddersfield have become weaker. That really bodes well for the tough season ahead.

Rocket Ron, do I detect a little bitterness in your post?? Are you still secretly in awe of our huge stadium, vast fanbase and full to the brim trophy cabinet?? You really need to get therapy, this sort of subconscious jealousy will eat away at you!!
Besides which, if you think signing miller to replace Pilkington makes you stronger, then maybe you are beyond any help!!

On balance Miller was appalling for us. 'Injured' for one season, then weak and slow for 90% of the next. Only started playing when he wanted a new contract.
There is a good player in there but we rarely saw it. Town are welcome to him. We are well shut.

I thought Miller would be a good signing for us when he came but he's had injury problems which haven't helped and been stuck in a poor midfield which didn't have the abilioty to get it down and play. He has shown in fits and starts that he can be a decent player and I think he could do a job for Hudd (from the bench) given their style of play and the players around him.
Agreed he won't be as good as Pilkington was for them, but don't write him off completely....

He played pretty well under Meggy but it was probably too little too late, especially given the brass he was asking for. Also, would he have fitted with the high-tempo style Meggy is going to play?
