How quickly people forget!!

2 years ago there was great clamour for Ferdinand and King to be included in the World Cup squad. At the time I said it would be an awful decision, as neither would make it through the tournement.

Lo and behold they both were named in the squad.
Luckily Ferdinand managed to injure himself early enough so a replacement could be called up. King on the other hand lasted 45 minutes.
If Ferdinand had gone we would have ended up with two dead spaces in our squad.

Sense has prevailed this time.

Fergie stated two days ago that Rio will not be fit enough to get through the finals.
