2005/2006 Season

Hey guys,

Just watching the season review for the 05/06 season and picked up on a few things.

1 We may have not been the best team in the league but god we were resilient. The amount of comebacks, especially away from home, were crazy.

2 Linking in with the previous point, our away form was top notch, we rarely went consecutive games losing away from home.

3 Watching Defoe back then and now, you can see how much he misses that yard of pace he has lost.

4 Mido was good!

5 King seemed to score all the time.

6 Martin Jol loved banter - he and Robbo were doing a Q and A with a few fans and one asked about being tougher with officials as we had a goal wrongly ruled out against Bolton in our previous game. Jol replied that when he talked to the ref he asked if he could call him a <p***k>, the ref replied "no", So Jol then asked him if he could think he was a <p***k>, the ref replied with "you can think what you want", Jol then replied "well I think your a <p***k>".

Good times and ultimately a good season despite missing out on the last day of the season.
