Did anyone else attend Monday’s (14th May) event in the marquee on the holy pitch?
Don’t say this much, especially at Selhurst Park...but was a Value For Money...Excellent Night!
Hate to pass on another website…least it’s Palace, but my comrade Chris Hambo sums up everyones thoughts… http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=119977&page=1
“All 6 comedians were fantastic IMO. Mark Steel had to drop out but was replaced by the brilliant Andre Vincent - going up first, joining lineup at short notice was a big ask and he was great. Palace fan too.
Sean Lock was brilliant. Even forgetting the punchline to a joke he made funny. He doesn't do too much standup these days and was so happy to get a chance to see him.
Seann Walsh was very entertaining (in spite of being a seaweed) and managed to take the tough job of closing and win people over quickly with some great, energetic physical comedy.
Kevin Day and Jo brand were excellent hosts and brilliantly funny. Kevin's opening segment where he tested the level of the room was textbook.
Final word has to go to Alan Davies who was simply brilliant. Never thought I would say that - enjoy some of his TV work but really not on my radar as a standup, but subject matter and performance were top quality. Stole the show.
If it happens again, don't miss it! Can't praise everyone involved highly enough."
Comedy Night at Palace!

I was there for my dad's birthday. I've been to a few comedy shows before but wasn't too sure what to expect on this one but it was really was a great night.
Sean Lock and Seann Walsh are 2 of my favourite comedians and Alan Davies was hilarious. Even Jo Brand and Kevin Day's little bits were very funny. I'd never heard of Andre Vincent but thought he was really funny. I was a bit shocked by some of the stuff my mum was laughing at!
Even if I had paid double the price it would have been worth it. It's going to a good cause as well. Hopefully they will do it again next year
You still going to the beer festival Paul?

(Taking one of Our old sponsors) I was a virgin before attending the Comedy Night (no not that you dirty gits!). So, Monday was a great opportunity to see some of my favourite comedians.
Only seen some of that Seann Walsh on the quiz shows like ‘8 outta 10 cats’ & ‘Mock The Week’. So, he impressed me - despite where he’s from
Commuting on the train from ESSEX to LONDON everyday for Work & Palace games, some of the train gags hit home
Always liked Sean Lock (or Billy Mitchell so, was great to see him live!
Alan Davies as well as Day & Brand.
The only criticism is, I’ve seen/ watched Sean Locks routing before on DVD.
Also, I think the Club missed a trick by fleecing £4 for a bottle of Beer :/
I agree, with the fund ‘going to a good cause’, however, raising the ticket price to £40? Shouldn’t price out your own fans in my opinion (MTP- are you the reason, my ST keeps going up?). I mean, £20 was a VFM charge.
That being said, would welcome another event next year. Maybe get another Palace Fan- Neil Morrissey? Or someone current? Micky Flanagan!
By the way, HELL YEAH, looking forward to the Beer Fest on you on that Facebook?

Haha ok maybe I was feeling generous when I said £40! Yeah I had heard some of Sean Lock's stuff before but it was still funny.
I am on facebook and I've just seen you have a link on your profile so I'll message you next week about it.
