Ive only heard great things about him. Hes supposed to be a brilliant player. Few mates of mine are Celtic fans they were singing his praises reckon hes top notch. Mustve played against them in Europe or something?

He scored the winner when Benfica played Celtic in the CL in 2007. Has tons of European experience.

Physically looks a bit lanky, but seems to be able to hold the ball up well from what I've seen. Think his game would suit the PL, and can't think of too many players coming from Portugal who haven't settled (just don't mention Helder Portiga...)

At £12m I think he'd be a better option than Remy at twice the price. I haven't seen anything of Remy, but from his Wikipedia page two things scare me: "Rémy flourished in the lead striker role scoring over 25 goals in his two years with the club. In 2010, after enduring interest from several clubs domestically and abroad, Rémy joined the defending champions Marseille on a five-year contract. The transfer had initially been put on hold due to medical issues."

Yes benfica would want 12 mil, which is perfectly a very good price for a striker of his quality, levy would want to pay 9 though. I got a bloody feeling we are going to miss out on this vertonghen because we are so tight

where are everton getting 10-12M from?
If they have that sort of money then they should pay at least 6m for Pienaar.
