If Town get promoted...

If Town get promoted and now that Owen is surplus to requirements at Man Utd. Do you think he would come to Huddersfield? He doesn't really need the money, right? So, he may be able to extend his career and help Town push for another promotion!

Rhodes and Owen up front, phenomenal!

However, we all know Owen is prone to injury!

LV,

A definite No.

Owen signed for Newcastle on 24/08/2005 and later for Man Utd,

He has since made the grand total of 102 League appearances and scored 31 League goals in the 7 full seasons since signing for the Magpies.

When you look at the brass he's picked up, it must work out at around £1 million/goal at least. In any other walk of life except football, he'd have been put out to grass years ago - same goes for his ex mate at Man Utd, Owen Hargreaves.

Owen, You must be deluded,, Way past it,, With a salary cap in place even a grand would be too much,,, LV - You may well have the privelage to see him in the flesh,, Just like some of the other has beens who collect silly money playing in the Aussie league.

Despite the fact he's actually come out and said that he won't drop down to Championship football...

That seems a resounding 'No' then, with a capital 'N', just thought I'd float the idea.

Al, he might sign for Perth Glory, I'm off to their forum!

Who else might slot in then...
There'll be some,
But NOT Owen .

The stumbling block to all players of this type is their 'ego'.
They are reluctant to 'drop darn' a league, & worse,
fail to see they aren't worth what they have been getting paid, & thus demand daft money.

Owen said as soon as he was released by Man Utd he wouldn't consider dropping into the championship, unless he s certain that one of the relegated clubs is going to bounce straight back to the premiership.
