Monty Wright

Most of you won't recognise the name (I didn't but for reading my local Mansfield paper). He died this week from acute leukaemia at the age of 80.....he played for Leeds United, Chester City and Stockport County during the 50's and 60's. He was a left footer and played with the likes of John Charles and Jack Charlton. RIP Monty and thank you for your services to Leeds United and to the Mansfield area as he later went on to open Monty's Newsagents which he ran for 15 years.

Amazing how ex-players can be right under your nose and you never even knew!

Shows how focused we are on our own eras.

Thoughts are with his family.
