King Kenny Dalglish - better than SAF

To be honest, I'm tired of us signing players that use Liverpool as a stepping stone until Barcelona or Madrid come calling. Players that are brought abroad, there loyalties stay abroad. Lets not kid ourselves here, Suarez will be gone in 3 years (possibly even sooner)

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Kenny Dalgish building a British core is logically a good move. Whether it will be successful or not is another story but what i do know is that i hate getting disappointed when our best foreign players decide to jump ship.

The likes of Carroll, Henderson and Adam etc. will more than likely stay with Liverpool if they become quality players one day in contrast to Suso and maybe Pacheco. Say if we were to sign Mata ... he will be at Barce in 2-3 years later anyway - situations like this isn't good for team stability.

Liverpool fans would like to win the premireship the most, which is the reason we will buy premireship proven players! why pretend to be oblivious of the facts?!

So rival fans swarming on our boards, mock us if you must. If it makes you feel any better about your team or whatever but Kenny Dalglish is no fool. He's built a premiership winning team before and I will trust his judgment over yours any day

Beware!

lol why do people assume silly little things?

take a step back and look at the situations

jones and henderson, yes they are english so what?

also consider they both recently signed a 5 year contract with their clubs yes FIVE YEARS ! like their clubs going to let them go on the cheap with this amount of time they have them tied down for?

i mean what if they did and they got better? tripled in value?

you dont pay it just because they are british, what a stupid thing to say.

competition also pushes the price up, i,e jones and henderson lots of clubs in for them.

carroll 35m LAST DAY of TRANSFER WINDOW need a replacement he didnt want to leave newcastle and spurs aalready had a 25 MILLION bid for him turned down.

35 million WAS REQUIRED not just because they are british, get some sense lad.

I think that British Players will always have certain amount of loyalty to British clubs. Especially to Liverpool, remember a lot of the players watched Liverpool dominating English football back in the day.. so to play for them is quite something.

What current Liverpool players can remember when they dominated English football? You haven't dominated for 25 years. None of your current crop can remember that.

Why does everyone always say Rovers bought the title? Man U spent a similar amount to us in the years leading up to it and Andy Cole cost them almost as much as Shearer and Sutton combined. We no more bought the title than any club who's won it in the last 20 years.

all titles are bought. money is the biggest factor for success.

What's clear is that if we want Suarez and Alan to stay the King Kenny must mould a winning side. Only then will the top foreign stars want to stay.

I disagree to an extent. I think all players would move if the bigger better deal came along if Liverpool were to remain in the doldrums or fall further down the pecking order. If we were all conquering like Barca are Suarez etc would sign up for life. The only difference is British based players will probably stay a bit longer and give the team more chance to turn it around

The reason that British players stay in Britain is that they can`t adapt to a new country and culture, and especially learning a new language. Imagine Andy Carroll learning Spanish! It ain`t going to happen is it now, be honest.
