the s.f.a. rules

is there a rule stipulating that a transfer ban would or could come into effect in regard of the rules broken by Rangers.
If so then we simply we must take our medicine and move on
But if there is no rule in relation to our breaches of rules, then surely the S.F.A. cannot apply these sanctions.

The SFA have a simple get out clause in that they can impose any "other" punishment they deem to be fit and appropriate. I guess this was put in to get them out of any unknown breaches and to cover all eventualities; which in essence this case covers.

Im not sure why they need a get out.

But having an 'any other punishment' does not sound legal.

I mean where could that go?

Duke
The report said they considered expelling Rangers from the SFA but decided it was too harsh and created a more lenient sanction.
If D&P pursue having this option removed from them then it stands to reason they will simply say ok we tried to help.
Remember the only route open now is to discredit the SFA with FIFA and I dont think they will react to such very well.

Ginger football may be allowed in certain things to act outwith the laws as long as nobody complains however when challenged see Bosman see work permits in Europe

All of that had to change as football was breaking the law.

What happened with Sion & UEFA then?

Genuinely stopped caring when it became clear it didn't effect us anymore.

Just remember that transfer fees between clubs would just go out the window too and that may be the death knell for many clubs.

well they could but the lowest teams make next to nothing from transfers its the middle up where the money is spent.

Eg Rangers have spent 30 million in Scotland in transfers in the last 15 years.
Im sure Celtic would be similar
If that money was still in the club where would we be today?

Granted Hibs Utd etc would all be down the tubes as take 3 or 4 million off them and see how they get on.
