Old match day programmes

I was chucking some stuff out today, my mum keeps moaning at me to clear out me old bedroom, anyway I found loads of old programmes from some classic games from the nineties. My first game ever v Wigan 90(not a classic), Liverpool fa cup home and away, wolves away in cup, arsenal away in cup too, last game at burnden(charton). It seems my busiest year as a supporter was 93 loads of away ones too Blackpool, west brom, port vale I could go on. I was just wondering if there is any value in them? Not the Wigan one!!! I suppose only collectors or mad Bolton fans would buy them!

The 58 final prog is worth about a tenner unsigned. Probably only a fiver signed by NL. Only kidding, worth about 20/25 quid.

I have a 58 cup final program signed by a few of the squad including sir nat.

its a little worse for wear - missing staples and been a bit creased over the years but is still very readable.

I have a wall with a couple of signed shirts, photos etc and its in a glass frame that I put it in myself - I paid £20 quid off ebay for it... I HAD to buy it when I saw it as its a piece of our history!

I also have on the same wall (this may or may not make certain people cream themselves) a programme my dad found in the loft of our house years ago...we have a pretty old house you see. we believe it to have either belonged to my granddad, my great granddad or his brother (all now deceased) I have NO IDEA how much it will be worth...ive never been interested it just looks really good on my wall, people generally do seem impressed by it, especially when I tell them the relevance of the date on it. I believe this is why the programme was kept and looked after all these years.

the programme is from 'Bolton Wanders Football and Athletic Club' - Bolton Wanderers v Stoke city, Saturday 9th march 1946.

the date of the burnden park disaster.

I've never found out how much it is worth, ive never felt the need to as its never going to be sold....

I've got loads at home including a signed one from 1990 ish with Cambridge's Dion Dublin contributing his signature.

Though goodness only knows where the last Burnden and first Reebok ones have gone. May have to take a look in the loft.

I'd never sell that either Trigger, its an amazing piece of Wanderers history. I'd be very surprised if there are any more than a dozen or so others left in existence.

I'd be tempted to get it valued purely for insurance purposes though as to a collector something like that would be nearly priceless.

I'd also be tempted to contact the club to let them know about it see if they'd have any idea of prospective value. At the very least I'm sure that there would be people at the club interested in having a gander at it.

well, it was found about 10 years ago. as far as I Know the club are aware that we have it. My dad made no bones about the fact that he would be happy to let them have it for any exhibits if they needed it, I think the club do have one though.

its the only place id let it go to, if there were only a few in existence, I couldn't deny Bolton the right to have a piece of there own history back.

I had loads of old programs but when I moved to Spain I gave them to a youg Bolton fan who lived down the road from me. They included the last one from Burnden and the first one from the Reebok.

He moved over the water from Liverpool as his father was a vicar and they had to move. His father wasn't well paid and they feared they wouldn't be able to afford to go and watch the Wanderers.
