I was thinking about how this is probably our most important summer and could define how successful we are for the next 5-10 years.
Obviously keeping van Persie is paramount, the euphoria if he signs a new contract will be monumental
Also we actually have the opportunity to really improve the team as there are clear positions of improvement with Wenger finally having a decent budget and the club seemingly very proactive in the transfer market.
Podolski already signed with M'Villa, Verthongen and Suarez attracting much attention although don't believe anything until it's on Arsenal.com!
These two coupled with finishing 3rd against all odds would give the club such momentum going into the next season, and I reckon there is the potential to be a real title challenger!
However, on the filpside, it could all go wrong. van Persie leaves, players aren't signed, despair around the club as some of our better players want to leave the club who aren't improving. I don't want to go into too much detail but you guys get the idea!
This summer is in my opinion the most decisive as everything could go so wrong or so right. Compared to last year which was just damage limitation!
Anyways, thoughts appreciated.

BBC Sport's David Ornstein on Twitter: "Van Persie joined the Dutch squad today with no agreement either way on his future. Resolution not expected any time soon."

Clearly he's on his way out.
Dark days ahead.
On a brighter note, maybe we will buy him..............

Just how good is Suarez again?

the club is bigger than RVP.

Suarez is arguably, ARGUABLY better than Messi.

Yes the club is bigger than any player, but that does not dismiss the devastating impact that his departure could cause.
But let's all be positive, surely one year we deserve a successful summer!

This is more or less what will happen:
Rvp situation drags on throughout the euros.
He leaves after we play our first pre-season friendly.
We buy a midfielder.
Wenger says 'Podolski, Walcott, Gervinho, Chamakh, Afobe are all strikers so we are not short in that department' when asked about replacing rvp.
That is all.
Realistic, not pessimistic

Another season of obscurity awaits. Whats the point, we never show any ambition, we are just happy to get into the CL and pick up a cheque. At least spurs are excited by CL football.
