Modric best in the league?

Hes not far off anyway imo

Finally we have confirmation from Opta that Luka Modrić is the best player in his position in the Premier League.

Opta have released various different statistics that encompass the whole season but the three that are most relevant in this case are chances created, passes and crossing accuracy.

In terms of chances created, Manchester City’s David Silva (104) tops the pile while Chelsea winger Juan Mata (102) is second and Modrić completes the top three with 96 – Nani, who got the most assists last season, is down in tenth.

Moving on to passes, it’s little surprise there are four Swansea players in the top ten with Ashley Williams leading the way with 2594 but in second is Modrić with 2534.

There is no sign of Silva or Mata however and, in fact, Modrić is the only one of the top ten chance creators to feature in the passes column.

On to crossing accuracy and Norwich City’s David Fox is top with 41.3 per cent but who is the only player to feature in this list that appears in either of the other two, let alone both?

That’s right, Modrić slips in at fourth – so expect him to light up the European championship this summer.

If Arteta still played for Everton theres not a chance in hell your biased mind would be thinking hes as good as Modric

So true messiah , albeit Arteta is a good player.

You will never see him linked with 20m moves away though, let alone 40m. S

That would be because I would be ignorant of his consistent form because I rarely watch Everton. Arteta was every bit as good for Arsenal this season as Modric was. Modric costing more is the same reason Carroll or Torres costs more than Papisse Cisse or Ba.

So every scout in the world is ignorant to him then aswell apart from Arsenals? If he was that good big teams wouldve been trying to sign him. What happens when Wilshere is fit again?

Football is a game with a team of eleven players.
Why on earth single out Modric for discussion?
He's a very odd misfit. Can't defend worth a nickle.
And is afforded the luxury of rabbiting around the pitch making plays because of players like Sandro that hold the fort.
We should have sold him for funny money to Chelsea.
And we will replace him with better players (for us) when he goes.
Remember, we have Bale, Lennon, VDV, oh yes and Kaboom.

all those passes , created chances and etc and yet everybody wants to run him out of town for some reason. Strange spicies are football fans lol

And I should have mentioned Scotty Parker, who's far more valuable to us. And is another that enables modric to go rabbit.

Scouts were ignorant to the likes of Henry and Rvp. No one knows what'll happen if Wilshere comes back.
