And still the last club in England to win the European cup back to back

One assumes this mantle referred to European Cup triumphs

You can never take away what Forest achieved in Europe. To win the trophy once is impressive, but to win it twice is incredible. The way football is now structured it is something that similar sized clubs (like Derby, Leicester and Sheff Utd) will never achieve. Even bigger clubs like Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal will find it difficult to get their hands on the trophy.
Commendable, impressive and a great piece of history that fans old enough to remember can take to their grave, but isn’t it now time to put it into perspective?
In 1874 and 1875 The Royal Engineers won the FA Cup – twice!
Between 1923-1926 Huddersfield Town won the League 3 times
In 1979 and 1980 Nottingham Forest won the European Cup twice
Nice bits of history for the teams involved, but achievements that have no real relevance in the modern era.
