So who has had the better season..

Chelsea for finishing 6th in the league to go on and win the FA Cup and first Champions League title? Or Man City for winning their first Premier League title, despite disappointing in the cup competitions.

I will go back to my previous comment. Chelsea fans, do you feel your owner is changing managers on a whim, and do you feel that Di Matteo should get the job on a permanent basis. He has done the one thing that nobody else did, he won the thing that Abramovich wanted, do you want to continue switching managers or have you found the right one? Personally i think you will compete for everything with the man in charge now, but if Abramovich wants to b ring someone in, then i think you will struggle

City are the best league side and Chelsea are the best cup side, the rest are also-rans though Liverpool can take some consolation from winning the Carling Cup.

Liverpool can take some consolation from winning the Carling Cup.

aka the cup of death for the last 2 seasons. The manager who's won the carling cup for the last 2 seasons has got the sack. Cardiff failed in their playoffs, Liverpools league form plunged, arsenals league form plunged and Birmingham got relegated.

Next season out in the first round I think!!!!

I don't know who has had the better season but I think the City fans have had a better time for most of the season.

I do agree with others comments that the first time you win something is special.

Well done to Chelsea I have enjoyed watching the sheer back to wall grit they have shown, several times.

Both clubs' fans can lay claim to which club had the better season, for different reasons.

The CL is the most prestigious trophy to win, but I would argue that a domestic league is harder. There's no luck of the draw (although Chelsea certainly did it the hard way in that respect to be fair). And City, finishing with 10 points in their CL group would normally see a team progress past that stage.

But the bottom line is - Chelsea fans have an FA Cup and CL trophy to celebrate. City have the Premier League. Both clubs deserve it (any club who wins such trophies do).

Winning the league in Fergie Time or beating the Germans on penalties, both seem equally sweet but I wouldn't swap our season for anything.

Has to be the Champions League.

I'd rather be in our position right now than Chelsea's put it that way. I think they've got a lot more work to do over summer than we do if they are going to challenge for the title next season.

Winning the trophy that they looked destined to never win, and which illicited lots of jibes from Liverpool and United fans, will have a huge effect on Chelsea.

The Spectre of Moscow is long gone. Roman will, hopefully, be a bit more patient now, and the players that do stay will have a new lease of life in their careers, regardless of age.

To answer the question, I would say that City and Chelsea both had the best possible outcomes for them; Chelsea getting the one thing they could never get! And City winning the Prem at the expense of their great rivals, on goal difference AND in Fergie time...

Both SWEET!

We won a cup in Fergie time and Chelsea won a cup by beating Germans on penalties.

I'd say it was honours even.
