I am revising for my exams, but whilst I was on a break I had a think about all of the brilliant designs that have been made by genius designers, only for them to be banned. I think that it defeats the point of Formula One. F1 is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport and the team that produces the best car deserves to win the Championship. I'm extremely concerned with the direction that F1 is heading in.
From the engine restriction changes to the banning of the exhaust blown diffusers. If the FIA keep banning things, then sooner or later designers will have nowhere left to go. The rules are often created to slow down the quickest cars but is it not the job of the other teams to attempt to catch them? We've seen it with Ferrari in 2003 and Red Bull this season.
While I'm at it, the tyre situation is becoming a debacle. The fact that we've seen so many different winners this season just vindicates the fact that F1 is now about which car works its tyres the best throughout the weekend. Driver ability and the quality of the car have absolutely nothing to do with it.
F1 is going in the wrong direction, and rapidly. They've already slowed down the cars from how they were during the years 2000-2008, the cars are not aesthetically pleasing and the 18,000rpm limit on the V8s make the cars sound pathetically weak.
I get that people want to see competiton, but by slowing down the quicker cars it encourages pathetically weak teams such as HRT to 'compete'. They should not even be in F1 in my opinion. F1 is becoming almost completely artifical and for me that makes all the 'exciting' races completely invalid. F1 is now just a glorified GP2. The uniqueness has disappeared.

Are you a Hamilton fan?
I don't know what else Vettel can do to convince people that he does have talent. I'm not a Vettel fan but I can appreciate his achievements.

Vettel clearly has talent. What I take issue with is people claiming he is an F1 God. He just isn't. He can't drive around problems or make a dog of a car better than it is, e.g Alonso.
Let's see how he fares this season

Vettel is better then hamilton. Slower car this year but ahead of him in the WDC.

Are you of the opinion that the relative positions in a table is actually a real indicator of relative talent?

I would love to see either a Vettel/Alonso partnership or a Vettel/Hamilton partnership so that the relative argument could finally be put to bed.

That is your opinion which you are quite entitle to. However, I think you are being asked to put forward some sensible reasoning to support your opinion.
So what exactly are your reasons for making that claim?
Incidentally you have not replied to my previous question regarding your view of tables.

Stop embarrassing yourself. How you can compare the joke of a world champion to Alonso displays your complete lack of understanding of this sport.
Hamilton and Alonso are the best drivers on the grid, they can drive around problems and make horrible cars work.
Vettels success is down to a blown diffuser which has been removed. Where is he now? He struggles to qualify on the front row just demonstrating the lack of pace he has. His race craft is even worse.
I really do not get why people despise Hamilton so much. A great driver who turns up to entertain the fans. Look at his drive last time out. Vettel couldn't have done what he did.
Vettel is marginally better than Webber, that's his level.
Schumi, Button are better drivers than him
