JOHN Terry’s appearance in full kit to lift the Champions League trophy sparked internet ridicule.
The Chelsea club skipper changed into the strip and raced to grab the prize despite being banned from playing because of a vicious foul in the semi-final against Barcelona.
Online pranksters mocked up snaps of him hijacking events such as Wills and Kate’s wedding, the Moon landing and Barack Obama’s victory. In another he hugs Michael Jackson.
On Twitter, one fan joked: “John Terry seen in cricket kit heading to Lord’s in case England beat West Indies."
Ex England cricket captain Michael Vaughan Tweeted: “Can’t wait to see John Terry lift the Ashes next year..."
England legend Gary Lineker got in on the act too, posting: “John Terry told he won’t be allowed to lift Wimbledon trophy if Andy Murray wins."
Stupid Football tweeted: “Terry says he is looking forward to lifting the European Championship trophy this summer, regardless of who wins it."
