I'm sure a lot of you have read the interviews from Lukaku slating AVB for the way he treated him. But I hadn't heard that he also rejected the CL medal and refused to touch the trophy, because he felt he didn't deserve it as he wasn't in CL squad for first half of the season. He also refused to touch the FA cup
He goes on to say how after Drogba's speech in the dressing room, he felt the day was more beautiful than winning the title with Anderlecht

good luck to the lad...shows great desire to only celebrate wen you feel you earned it.
clearly not a fan of chels...but can't help but admire the never say die attitude of the clubs core players....boy how spurs cld do with that kinda mentality.

If he is making those decisions as a form of self motivation the it sounds like we have a player made of the "right stuff" on our hands.

Shows that he is confident enough that he will win one himself one day, and earn it. Fair play Rom!

Reminds me of Ballack who was on 98 caps for Germany. Having been dropped through injury and subsequently replaced, his return to fitness was met with an offer to play out the remaining two games however he declined, opting to remain on 98 rather than reach the milestone with an undeserved couple of caps. A true pro.
