From a Chelsea point of view, do you lot agree with the latest European power rankings, where Chelsea have been ranked 3rd on the list, even after winning the double?
Yes, we finished 6th in the premier league, but considering we won both the FA cup, and the most sought-after trophy in European football...the Champions League, don't we deserve to be ranked above other teams?
I mean, how come Real Madrid are ranked as the no.1 team, just because they won the Spanish League, and Barcelona taking the 2nd spot...for winning nothing, yet; Chelsea that won both the FA cup and the Champions League are ranked 3rd?
Please, can someone help me explain what factors determine the best team in Europe?
I thought that winning the Champions League was the determinant factor to be the best team in Europe?

We are the champions of europe.
It doesnt mean we are the best team, its a knockout cup comp. would be like saying Cardiff are the 2nd best team in GB cause they were runners up to liverpool in the carling cup.

I can think of 5 teams that are better than us off the top of my head...........
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man City, Man United, Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund..........
so i would say being ranked 3rd is overly flattering toward us

before reading the list i thought it would be based on sucess over a long period of time - but having read it - united 10th? Montpelier 12th? city 5th? Valencia Behind Spurs?
You have to remember this is an american based website so take it with a pinch of salt.....

There should be a weighting towards recent success, so as to reflect the clubs that are currently the best. HOWEVER, they seem to weight too heavily, and indeed consider lots of factors, some of which are clearly disagreeable.
