There are walkthroughs on Youtube, from what I saw it seems okay tbh.

JAG, are you someone that has played the other 2 Max Payne games? If you have then you might be a little disappointed, as my mate (Massive fan of the series) is not too keen on it so far and spent a bit of the time I spoke to him last night complaining about the fact that the plot was predictable, too many long cutscenes and moronic enemy AI (And a whole lot of other things that I seem to have forgotten about in the meantime).

I've played and completed it. Never played first two games. I really enjoyed it. Cutscenes are long but I enjoyed them. Great variety of locations- there are bits in new york still.
It is very difficult in places especially toward the end but onvthe whole I loved it despite it being quite short

You didn't like GTA 4???

it's great, bares absolutely no resemblance to GTA 4 so I'm not too sure where that comparison comes from?
If you've played the last two you will know what to expect, themeatically its very similar. Very stylish, with a top multiplayer added in.
If you're a fan of the series its a must buy that's the bottom line. If you've never played them before then play the first two, then it'll become a must buy.

The comparison comes from the fact that it is from the same people that made GTA and the graphics look alot similar

Graphically they are nothing alike, they use completely different engines. Literally the only similarity is it's a Rockstar game. Just seemed a strange question to me, like asking if SSX is too similar to Fifa 12 because they are both EA sports games.
Anyway, I thought GTA 4 was criminally over rated as well right from the off, but am loving max payne 3 at the moment.

The game's amazing. Get it. Well worth it.
Not a classic. But it's a good flick.
