yes, i is shocking (and i should clarify this being a resident evil game, not in a good way).

It's basically an unoriginal, buggy mess of a third person squad shooter thats been given some zombies and has been labelled a resident evil game.

The zombies and one or two character skins are all it has in common with previous games,

RE 4 was the best. Nearly shat myself at various points.

RE3 Nemesis on PS1 was great too *sigh*

nemesis was bloody terrifying, legging it through the police station then hearing the door tear off its hinges out of screen and nemesis roar was pant-wettingly scary.

Resident Evil 2 did a good job with Atmosphere as well.

resident evil 2 is the stand out from this series....

Nemesis was the big monster that follwed you through the whole game saying "stars" all the time and giving you a whooping every chance he got.

I think RE5 is a decent game but it certainly lost a lot of the atmosphere the previous games had. I'm not sure I ever played RE4.
