If chelsea sign Hulk, which i think they will, Sturridge will be put back even further in the squad because Hulk will definately take his place. This will lead to Sturridge getting more frustrated. He is never going to be a striker for us with Torres/Lukaku/New CF (possibly). So if we get Hulk i think we should cash in on him.

Depends if we buy another striker this summer.
What if Torres gets injured? is a teenager with no real PL experience going to get enough goals to keep us challanging for the title??

Based on what we have seen so far, no he is not which means we must have good players to come into the team.
Not sure if that player is Sturridge or not just think he deserves a chance to play up front and remove his responsability to track back to his own penalty area.

We have been playing him in the wrong position
Give the kid a chance in his natural position
No way will i sell Sturridge before i know what he is capble of, playing as a striker.
I have a feeling that, that would come back to haunt us
We are in plenty of cup competions to play him as a striker next season

Well Sturridge is struggling to agree a new deal with Chelsea at the moment.... So you just never know what will happen this summer.

As much as he annoys me, I think he's right about playing in the centre. He's not a winger/wide forward. He's not creative and doesn't track back, so I wouldn't mind seeing him as a back-up to Torres. But unless Torres finds some sustained form, it's a bit worrying.

Sturridge can not play as the lone striker,he will get bullied and look out of his depth.

Sturridge as the striker lol. Does the thickhead realise why he's got so many goals this season playing out wide where he's less heavily marked than he would be if he's in the middle?

You're right Mr. C. He doesn't know how lucky he is having freedom of movement out wide. CFs get plenty of attention and get pushed around, muscled out. You've got to have the mentality to take it all and keep plugging away. Just ask Drogs. Does Danny look like he can handle that kind of pressure?
For me Lukaku is a much better bet. v. Blackburn he looked a menace up front, did some very good work in wide positions and moved the ball quickly and effectively all the time.
