Caughtoffside fantasy journalism

Once again Caughtoffside have managed to create a completely random story about Tottenham without quotes, references or even sources. IN regard to Utd offering 2 plays and £10 million for Modders

After getting abuse on every story they produce. The previous being the new Chelsea boss is going after Modric & Bale for £60 million

I have noticed that they have closed comments to today's story. Probably to stop their serving overloading with shouts of "Who writes this carp"

If you visit their site you will see they are advertising the fact you can write for caughtoffside. So if you were selected what story would you write?

@ Didi - I thought I'd try your challenge and although I got bored looking through their site I did find this comment
"Sorry we don’t compute. Surely whenever Messi touches the ball the ball is under instructions to do as it is told. Having scored a zillion goals for Barcelona last season it seems that Argentina are being treated to a slightly sub standard version of the pint sized attacker for Copa America duties."

A zillion goals in one season? That Messi is amazing

Just an idea, why don't we all sign up as journos and the one who gets the most ridiculous story published will go down in ja606 glory?

Especially if they get it featured in the BBC gossip column!

Don't worry, I think it's an impossible game. I'd actually be quite up for the journo game though!

It's no worse than Goal.com's pathetic 'reports' about something supposedly happening a year from now.

Football media is pathetic.

Getting fed up now of this modric issue and the Medias obsession in trying to dismantle our squad and sell our players for us It's almost like they can't accept the fact that spurs are not bending over backwards for the "top 4" for once and it pains them so much!! I wish we would start to see more rumours about the big signings we are making rather than the constant Modric to United or chelsea bull****

Here is mine :

Barcelona and Spurs sign a friendship agreement for the next 3 years. As part of the terms, there will be a player exchange each season, to foster the friendship and exchange of playing ideas.

The first exchange entails Bentley and Crouch going to Barca next summer, and Messi and Villa to WHL.

You'll never get on with that

Messi to WHL is a step too far.

Just submitted a story to them by e-mail:

Baines in a deal worth £25m to City, made up of cash + Bridge and SWP as makeweights in the deal. Stumbling block is Everton holding out for one of City's strikers, possibly Jo.

It's easy this journalism lark

Didi :

Are you implying that the Villa bit *would be accepted* ??

Got it (oh yes) :

Real Madrid to loan Benzema to Spurs for the next season. The agreement is made on the basis that Real have first refusal on Luka Modric at the end of next season, with a transfer swap + cash if both are sold.

The RDBD : his mind IS the story !!!
