He could really be the difference for England in this tournament. The way he finished the season was superb and I really hope he does well in the euro's. The confidence it would install in him for next season, would be brilliant!

For me Carroll works well when he has a partner and if Gerrard is the 2nd striker we could see him pretty isolated. Not sure how much Young and Walcott will get in the box.

If Gerrard is the second striker and the ball is given o him high up the pitch then Carrol won't be isolated!

Will be interesting to see if he is now a thoroughbred or still a donkey in footballing terms.

I'm still baffled as to why we didn't see this utilised last season. Kenny seemed to opt for Henderson playing the more role advanced position, which I did find odd.

This is not the Gerrard of 2005. We know Gerrard likes to roam which means he does not want to be next to Carroll. If there is no service he always drops deep and thats the concern.

Hart is the only one who will be passing to Carroll.
