As we settle down to the greatest week in our history, we cannot help but wonder if next season we may now be spared the annual winter invasion of the ubiquitous species that is the Tottenham Trumpeter. This species of Cockeral is a particularly brightly coloured, attention-seeking, bird that has flown south for the last 2 winters and has settled on the Arsenal and Chelsea board and then proceeded to tell all and sundry just how crap our Club's are and just how good they are. Scientists believe that their traditional migration pattern has come to an end because they may have now run out of usable material.
I have known a good number of Spurs supporters for a good few years and them boasting about their achievements is nothing new. The problem for them is that a great deal of their material, is now obselescent or redundant. I am long used to them trying to patronize my club or talk in derogatory terms about it. They have some very good posters on here that you can have a very good debate with, but they have been far outnumbered by their WUM's who have dragged them down and infested our board for the last 2 seasons.
No club brags about false dawns like they do. No club likes a DVD release about a routine league victory against a rival or a partial DVD release like they do, that shows them slaughtering someone for 45 minutes or so.
They believe that they are the only London Club that had any sort of European pedigree, even though Chelsea were the only British Club that had ever won the Cup-Winnners Cup twice, in 1971 and 1998 (both Pre-Abramovich). Well we now have 4 European trophies including the big one, so it's time for European trumpeting to stop.
One of the last few bragging rights that they were clinging to for the last few years, was the myth that they had won more than we had, a view which I had never agreed with. The Super Cup win of 1998 is dismissed as a nonentity or glorified Charity Shield, even though only 2 teams in the whole of Europe are eligible to play in it (One of which must be the European Champions) and then the winner can go on to compete for the World Club Championship, which is so obviously unimportant that Man United of all people, were prepared to swerve the FA Cup for one season to play in it. Spurs also have never been good enough to even compete for it, in their so-called self-appointed "Fantastic History". Well if you have a count up now, you will find that we have either won two more trophies than you if you include the Super Cup, or one more if you don't.
So I would suggest in future that Spurs fans generally, learn the lesson to actually wait until you have won something, before you start the bragging Olympics and behave with a bit more reticence, to avoid a repeat of the humiliation that a lot of you have suffered this year with the way the season unravelled for you.
This article is not aimed at the many decent Spurs posters including Sandrothebeast, Pav That or One team in NL, who were themselves embarrassed by some of the antics of others.
They won't ever find me on their board doing it.

Brummie - you make no point in any of your posts and you didn't admit that not scoring a pen is missing a pen.

A saved pen isn't a missed pen. It's on target, so it didn't miss.

Why bother having a goalkeeper in goals?
Cech actually did his homework before the Bayern game. Our goalkeeping coach actually gave a few tips to our players on Neuar before the game. I don't think you've got any right calling that luck. Cech dived the right way for all 6 penalties incluiding Robbens. Luck? Try again mate
