Is KP the best england batsman.....

In all the formats? I know he doesnt get much recgonisation in england for god knows what reosons, but kp in my eyes is probably englands best batsman out of the current lot. He has an amazing strike rate in tests, plays odis and t20s as fluently as any gd batsman around the world.
Why do england fans not value his great batting? atleast i havent seen many posts on here for kp specifically.
though i have seen many posts when kp wasnt in form, and people were talking that he shud be dropped.

Not sure why you have included the ODIs in there - he had a fantastic series vs pakistan, but prior to that had been woeful... it'll be interesting to see how he gets on in ODIs vs south africa later this summer.......

Test - Got done by average left-arm spinners bowlers recently vs pak and lanka...... playing well now, again lets wait until saffers series - i expect him to do well though.

T20s - Good batsmen, but virdu next judge a player based on the IPL ffs - its full of dolly wolly huff yuff bowlers - lets wait until the world cup

Viru...

As things stand, for me England have 2 world class batsmen - who can perform in any conditions. Cook and Trott.

KP and Bell are both exceptional but cannot be considered world class until they perform on the sub.

About the best batsman over the 3 formats...

You can use the process of elimination here. Strauss, Bell, Trott don't play in all formats.

This only really leaves Cokk and Pieterson. KP is improving in the 50 overs and is certainly our best T20.

But, I would say Cook. Great in Tests and 50 overs. He develops his game to match the relevance. He should open in T20.

For me ,Cook is the best English batsman.
He has average similar to Pietersen(in ODIs ,even better)
He is 4 years younger than pietersen and he is heading to the age where batsmen are supposed to hit the purple-est patch of their career.
Cook is way way more consistent than pietersen.Gets his job done quietly.

That said, I think its a toss-up between pietersen and cook as the current best player of England.Pietersen is by far the most entertaining English player.

Bresnan is our best player, batsman, bowler, fielder, team player both on the pitch and in the pavilion, you name it. He justs keeps on winning.

England finish this test match on 111 - 1. Didn't require KP at all. He is an excellent player in a group of excellent players. No better, no worse

If Pietersen had a brain, he'd already be one of the all time greats.
