Not sure how many of you are my age, but West Ham have won a major European trophy; the European Cup than is now established as the Champions League.
But under the revamp, should 4th place in the Premiership really guarantee the chance of qualification in the "CHAMPIONS LEAGUE"
I personally feel that the "CHAMPIONS of each LEAGUE should compete...how do you feel? And give a justified reason.

Football has evolved. The top few leagues have all the best players. Do you really want Man City playing the likes of the Serbian champions in the quarter finals?
What they need to change is the Europa League. Don't allow champions league dropouts in, put some decent prize money aside for it and offer the winners a champions league spot. It's such a devalued competition at the moment.

I dont really understand the problem people have about CL drop outs going into the europa. doesnt this just help to maximise the quality of the competition ?

Well
1) CL dropouts going into the EL is seriously unfair on those who have had to play in that tournament since July.
2) CL dropouts rarely take it seriously- ie Man Utd
3) It also implies that finishing 3rd in a CL group can be rewarded
