..the reason I say this is because it took this season for quite a few United fans to realise he is quality. The England fans will never appreciate him like Scholes.
Besides, do we really want them to have more United players to blame for another failure for England?
It's a good thing Carrick's not going...

To be honest, I think Roy is doing right by playing to England's strenghts as he has little time to prepare. I m not gonna judge him harshly if England fail this time round

Perhaps Carrick would have been in if he gave more of a damn about England.

He did, he didn't want to be back-up or a bit-part player though, he wanted to start.

I'm sure they all want to start, doesn't mean they're not all happy to be a part of England in whatever capacity that comes their way.

I feel Carrick shouldn't play for England. My reason is because Carrick is a player who plays well when he is high in confidence. England are going to be poor in the Euros. I don't want Carrick to come back to United low in confidence because we need to hit the ground running next season. Also, with his age it will be better for him to have a summer off. Also, if Carrick makes one stray pass he could easily be made out a scapegoat by the media for England's failures. As he is not one of the favourites like Stevie Me, plus he doesn't run around like a headless chicken making tackles which is deemed a good player by the media. So it is best for United he stays away from the England team.

Carrick wouldn't fit into Roy and England style of play. He said he wasn't interested anyway. It's not like they left him for no reason.

Watch Henderson go and set the tournament alight now.
