The low profiled schedule for yesterday, actually turned quite interesting for some matches. Delpo looked like his knee problems that started in Rome haven't healed well enough. Now question mark on him again. Tsonga had to dig out against Kuznetsov. His clay prospects as always are looking dull. The big upset if you like to call it was Roddick's 4 set loss to marathon man Mahut. I guess Roddick's career will now follow the path that Blake is going through now.
Day2 and some big names lined up in today's schedule.
The Prediction game start today, but I must apologize for this delay. The FO matches are about to start in half hour's time. Considering the large number of matches, for the game matches are picked where the result is not the most obvious.
1. Gilles Simon(FRA)[11] vs. Ryan Harrison(USA)
My pick: Simon in 3
2. Michael Llodra(FRA) vs. Guillermo Garcia-Lopez(ESP)
My pick: GGL. On this slow clay, an S&Ver has no chance.
3. Arnaud Clement(FRA) vs. Alex Bogomolov Jr.(RUS)
My pick: The old dog in front of his home crowd.
4. Viktor Troicki(SRB)[28] vs. Thomaz Bellucci(BRA)
This one could be match of the day. Troicki is a very nervous player but against lower ranked opponents he can hold them well.
My pick: Bellucci shall see this in 4
5. Filippo Volandri(ITA) vs. Tommy Haas(GER)
My pick: Volandri in 5
6. Blaz Kavcic(SLO) vs. Lleyton Hewitt(AUS)
Hewitt coming into the scene after a long time.
My pick: Hewitt shall dig this through in 5.
7. Mikhail Kukushkin(KAZ) vs. Ernests Gulbis(LAT)
Here is Gulbis whom I once thought will be top player wining many titles. But just chose to party instead of practice. Considering his record in slams, it won't be a bad idea to pick the opponent.
My pick: Still will go with Gulb just for player who he was in 2008.
8. Andreas Seppi(ITA)[22] vs. Nikolay Davydenko(RUS)
My pick: Seppi in 4
9. Alexandr Dolgopolov(UKR)[16] vs. Sergiy Stakhovsky(UKR)
My pick: Dolgo in 4. 1 set he will just squander.
10. Dudi Sela(ISR) vs. Tomas Berdych(CZE)[7]
Sela has the ability to case some upsets. Berdy at times can be shaky. But atm looks in good form.
My pick: Berdy in 3.
---------------------------------------
Other matches of interest but not for Prediction game as they are with almost obvious results.
1. Novak Djokovic(SRB)[1] vs. Potito Starace(ITA)
2. Roger Federer(SUI)[3] vs. Tobias Kamke(GER)
May the game begin.

Troicki won. Dolgo having tough time and Haas likes to play 5 setters. Brian Baker seems to be a decent player winning against Malisse.

I read somewhere that Hidalgo was expected to beat Raonic , some filtered posters I suppose.

Poor guy, he paid the price for someone else's poor sportsmanship. Had players not been faking MTOs in the past this would have never happened (oops sorry a player).

Yes exactly. That's the difference between being a big name or an unknown cause you can be sure that teh referee would have treated a top seed very differently. The referee even gave him a time warning.
Others go to the loo before MP, or even get their foot checked in the middle of a Tiebreak.
