A chant that engenders real brotherly love. Chanted at Parkhead when we are behind....just makes my heart swell with pride at the guys round about me.
"We are the people who sing of victoreee, we'll follow Glasgow Rangers from Kilmarnock to Dundee..............".
WATP originates from a shipyard union song in the 1920s that became popular with altered words at Ibrox. Shorted now to "We are the people", it infuriates Celtic fans who have an inferiority complex and believe its aimed at them. ie if we are the people....they clearly are not. My message to Celtic fans would be .....reform, come breath the free air at Ibrox and support the gers, you too can be one of the people who follow follow.

As a chant is quite effective if animalistic..Grunt Grunt Grunt Grunt.
Know what I find weird about it being chanted now though...
As you say it's stolen from union men, normal working men, honest days work for an honest days pay types,...Yet you as a club were happy to bump the honest, hard-working face-painter.
Just makes the chant a bit redundant when the truth is you didn't really care about the people.

Hector the tax man with the tax angle: Craig Whyte has taken the money to pay small businesses....ordinary hardworking Rangers fans like me are through the RFF gradually paying back all the small businesses owed money, many of those businesses being hardworking Rangers fans themselves.

naw quite the opposite,we are enjoying it.The more attention on them the more their dirty laundry comes out in public while the champions quietly and professionally get on with our business,just the way it should be.
