The Meaning of Etihad

As most people with a modicum of intelligence know, Etihad is the Arabic word for Union or Unity.

It has come to my attention that a motley collection of lackwits, halfwits, dullards and simpletons are under the illusion that the word means 'United'.

Will you be willing then to chant 'Etihad' at Old Trafford next season if an unexpected burst of singing breaks out.

Will you petition Trafford Council to have the thoroughfare behind Old Trafford renamed 'Etihad' Road.

Will you demand that the club crest bears the words 'Manchester Etihad' in future.

Always have a City fan on your pub quiz team, just in case there is a set of questions about ancient boundaries of Manchester or the etymology of place names in the Manchester area.
