Fergie will go down as one of the best managers ever, but he had every resource available to him at Man United, so not particularly hard to win trophies.

I am not sure he would have been as good in byegone eras pre 1970s, when the playing field was a lot more level, and the managerial competition a lot more fiercer. But nonetheless he had success at Aberdeen, which is pretty hard to replicate.

He will be up there with the best no doubt. Best ever, open for debate.
