So it sounds like we're in the mix with either new investment or hoperully a buyer - I can't see Bates sharing power - Remember the late Matthew Harding?

Anyway, based on other teams chairmen, who would you want in charge?

Lerner, Dein, Ridsdale - A range of chairmen to choose from.

My thoughts:

A proven businessman with no personal connection to the club - We remember Ridsdale. A chairman who will price correctly, speak openly to the press, back the manager financially but not 'living that dream'.

Bates, for all his faults deserves some respect for making us a more rounded 365 days a year business, but his lack of player investment and solicitor fees have gone to far. It would also be good to have a chairman who attends games and seems bothered by the club.

My preferred 'type' of chairman...
