I wouldn’t get too excited about the proposed takeover just yet. Firstly, bates will only look after himself, so the potential buyer will have to offer him a good return to walk away
And more importantly, we have seen American and other owners at English clubs, they don’t pump in money overnight and in some cases haven’t the foggiest. The Indian owners at Blackburn didn’t even know it was possible to get relegated from the premier league!!!!
Lets hope we get some firm bids from the middle east or Russia – men with real money and not afraid to dish it out…. No iffy wiffy toffees please. We are Leeds United
Arabs or Russians only please!!!

So Tez.....try clicking on 'Huddersfield'....and NOT 'Championship'.
Until you lot appear under the Championship list, you're just gonna have to lick it, along with Rochdale et al.....
Now tod off to your own board......

I thought this was a club that stood for something.
At the moment it stands for 'not winning titles'

Tony Dorito, yes I have changed my mind. Because a few days it was only people spreading rumours on twitter about some existing group buying us. MLSE are not buying us now are they? That's why I said all this talk was wishful thinking

Eric, it could stand for winning titles if the fanbase and thus the income are built up properly over about a decade, rather than an instant hit which could well be followed by another dramatic fall. We all love the ups and downs, but that doesn't mean we have to crave living right on the edge.
And in the meantime, there's plenty of cups that non-elite teams are winning and competing well in - don't tell me League Cup, FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League success are worth nothing while our club patiently builds and grows.
Don't get why people want to chuck principles down the drainpipe, really. Suppose that's the age we live in.

You don't have to throw principles away. I agree entirely with the comment '...that's the age we live in...'

Man City have only been rich a couple of seasons and they've already lost theirs, doing that stupid Poznan dance, stupid light-shows and half of their fans looking like they're employed by a circus.
I don't want that at Elland Road, league titles or not.
There's a pragmatic way to keep our principles and be successful, it would just take a longer period of time. Our size as a club will help us get where we belong sooner or later; we don't need financial doping from a foreign investor.

Who are you going to support should we be taken over by a rich man who puts millions in(or as you put it financially doping) and we start winning then...?
