What do we know about him?

Struggling to find info too, the guy doesn't even have a wiki page

no worries 1STAR.

another tweet just now...
Mark Hartshorne‏@markhartshorne
Chicago based investor interested in Leeds United but not the owners of MLS team Chicago Fire

Ben Payne‏@BenEnochPayne
OH MY GOD! The Kuwait fella who is interested in buying #LUFC is apparently richer than the Man City chairman! #mightcry

still mixed messages coming from twitter over whether it will be an american owner or middle east. Personally would much rather the Kuwaiti billionaire if it all goes through.

Phil Hay‏@PhilHayYEP
The hunt begins again...away from takeover news for a minute, I'm hearing that #lufc are interested in Leicester City defender Lee Peltier

hot off the press....

Financial Fair Play means it doesn't matter if he's richer than Man City owners, all this getting carried away is silly. We have to win the Championship before the Champions League

Fair play rule will not work.

Been told top clubs are investing in people to work out how to get around the rules all ready.

And it's not hard to do.

You can only spend what you make. Then you just Say you have a 50M sponsorship deal on renaming the training ground or something like that. That means the club has earned 50m and then can be spent.

blue me, the fair play rule are there to ensure that clubs debt are reduced over a period of time, to right to much debt in football, the rules state the owner can only invest 6 mil next year.

but his mates can invest as must as they want. they can sponsor the stadium if they want

I've also heard he is richer then the man city owner I heard somewhere he's worth 550 billion? (Man city owner) Surely not?

I think the two representitives are from Chigago and the other Dubai but Phil Hay said yesterday the Dubai company aren't ready to make a bid. Strange that a few hours after the news came out that apparently he now owns us. Unless Bates was working through until about 1 this morning with no bid placed down reported at like 10 last night. Maybe they got a sniff that the Chigago company were close to a deal? Maybe its all nonsense and Bates will use 'we were too busy in the takeover negotiations we didn't have time to sign anyone' excuse. I look forward to seeing the outcome!!

Andrew Haigh‏@AndrewHaigh

RT @EastStandUpper: BREAKING: Fawaz al-Hasawi is buying NOTTINGHAM FOREST... he is flying to London tomorrow to confirm. DAMN. Oh well looks like we will have to rely on the US bidders which isnt such a bad thing. any sort of investment or takeover has got to be a good thing. the vibes i got from reading andrew haigh's tweets first this morning regarding a possible takeover by Fawaz Alhasawi weren't all that positive.

Andrew Haigh‏@AndrewHaigh

So it's option two. Fawaz Al-Hasawi is buying Nottingham Forest AND he wants Neil Warnock as manager. Who the bl**dy hell are we going to have in his place i ask myself? What a shambles. Im sure it will all come together one way or another. bit of a shock though. https://twitter.com/#!/AndrewHaigh

Its all a little bit iffy still. Why would he be so confident that he's going to sign Warnock, Warnock has already said he is leaving at the end of the season to retire just can't see him leaving ushalf way through the window to try and gain his all so precious 8th promotion with a forest team he hasn't worked with.

ESU has retracted that because all his journo contacts in Kuwait are saying different things

Why are people going on about Twitter as if it's a reliable source? Half of it's BS and the only reliable thing we know right now is that there's 1 or 2 bidders for the club, one of them being the USA guys.

Forget about what Jim Bin Halal who claims to be the brother of this Kuwait billionaire has to say and just wait unitl Phil Hay or someone says something worthwhile.
