Said it now and will say it again, the likes of Lamps, Terry, Ferdinand, and Gerrard should not be there. Roy says he is concentrating on the WC yet half this squad wont even be there! Pearce had the right of it, and already Hodgeson is looking a mistake, he has just picked the exact same England squad that reads the best on paper. 80-90% of this team should be under 26 years of age! Not have the main back bone of players over 30. In all fairness the only Chelsea player over 30 who should be in the squad is Cole, as there really dont seem to be that many left backs. If Frank Lampard was really one of the best English midfielders this season then England are in all types of carp as im sure Frank would be the first to admit he had a pretty poor season apart from a very good run in at the end. The rest he was pretty averge.

I bet Carrick feels stupid now for ruling himself out of the stand-by position. He would have gone instead of Henderson. I never understand people who refuse anything from their country - it should be an honour. It's a shame - because I think he could have done well alongside Parker. Defensive minded, but with an eye for a pass - he would complement Parker and Gerrard.
