Euro 2012 Predictor

As promised here is a small competition to see us through the summer until next season starts. It is an amended game for the Euro's simply because daily updates are a pain and with people going on holiday during the tournament the set up of the competition means they don't have to come on and predict daily.

The set up is borrowed from a virtual bookies thread that used to be on 606. Everybody gets the same stake to play with and the winner is the person who has the best return at the end of the tournament. As the bets proposed are fairly rigid though it means that one wild bet is not going to win you the competition. The skill of predicting is what will win you the competition. The top 4 finishers though from the Predictor competition get a bonus bet as a prize from coming out on top in the previous competition. For the avoidance of doubt that is TROLLFECKER; THE TIMINATOR; KAISER and PEARSONIFICATION.

At the outset everybody will bet a virtual stake on certain markets. These will be listed below. Throughout the tournament there will be ongoing bets usually involving the matches being played. What I propose is that I put up a certain set of fixtures once a week and from those fixtures a stake will require to be placed on a treble of your choice. The virtual stake for all bets is £10. Stakes will not be returned with winning bets. The prize in this game is based on returns only. All money won is virtual so don't come looking for it.
