Foley feels betrayed by Trap!
Do you think he has a right to be angry? or maybe that he was trying to convince himself he was fit so that he wouldnt miss out on a dream?
Ouch..

Had to laugh at Mc Shanes comments where he said that he unlike Foley can play anywhere in the back 4!!
Really Paul Unfortunately you can't play "anywhere" on the pitch!! Thats why you can't even hold down a place at a Championship side in England

With all the hate towards Mcshane and not wanting him I think we all kinda love him deep down because if there is any player in world football that makes you believe u can still make its him I still think I could play in 2014 world cup thank you Mcshane

Foley was fit which is obviously why he felt "betrayed".
Its more to do with recent concerns about O'Shea, Dunne & O'Deas fitness which maybe made him think he could do with somebody who is more versatile.
With O'Shea being able to play across the back 4 and Kelly a far better right back I can only see Mcshane playing if there is a crippling injury crisis.

Why cant teams simply be allowed to bring a few more people to cover these contingencies? A slightly bigger squad would surely not create any more difficulties. Makes you think about the bad old days when even substitutions were not allowed. What an open encouragement to dirty play and hatchetmen!

Good point Reiver, and yes The Crues have bragging rights, subtle and otherwise for another 11 months, deservedly so.

Going back to your point re the other "Crusaders", ie. the funky jazz group. Havent heard about them for years. Last thing I saw about them was a concert they were doing with Groover Washington. It was really good and featured a younger, lean, hungry Groover before he became a successful, smaltzy, cocktail lounge creature. Old Groover was really going for it and the Crues were backing him all the way! Steaming stuff !!! Whatever your feelings on mankind, theres no denying that they can make some lovely sounds!

Feel really sorry for Foley but Trap took the pragmatic (no surprises there!) decision.
I know we all like to give McShane a bit of stick but he gives his all for Ireland and it's been a while since he put in a bad performance for us, albeit he doesn't play that often.
By the way Milltown, if you think the Crues were bad this year then you've no idea how lucky the Setanta Cup was to avoid the infamous Kirk Hunter in his pomp. Think less hatchet man and more Texas Chainsaw Massacre!

He's overdue one!

True Henrik, well, that's the optimism drained out of me, cheers!
