Are we now talking about a hypothetical 23 man squad consisting of the missing/injured England players being better than the England squad that is going?
GK:
Ruddy
Foster
Robinson
DF:
Richards
Walker
Ferdinand
Smalling
Dawson
King
Gibbs
Kelly
MF:
Lennon
Johnson
Barry
Lampard
Carrick
Rodwell
Wilshere
Huddlestone
AT:
Holt
Crouch
Bent
Sturridge
It might be weaker defensively but I would probably be more enthusiastic about taking that squad than the one we're taking.
Thoughts?

My team would be:
Hart
Johnson
Terry
Lescott/Cahill
Cole
Parker
Jones
Young
Gerrard
Welbeck
Carroll/Rooney
Obviously Rooney in place of Carroll when he's fit.

Not bad. Looks similar to mine with a few changes. Would play Jones or Milner in that role next to Parker.

It is shocking. I don't think there is any other team in world football who has this situation.

Wouldn't it make sense to make up a list of players that didn't include injured ones? Players who are injured aren't going anyway, so this list is a little inaccurate as a alternative team...

song - I wasn't necessarily trying to highlight Hodgson's bad choices out of the players he's left, but also the bad luck from the injured players.
Still interesting to see the team we're left with compared to the one that's going. And now of course this team is a little stronger with Cahill.

Gotcha... ignoring injuries, it does make for interesting reading. I for one would much rather see that team!
