Pathetic Attack On Colin Hendry

Would like to draw your attention to some disgusting remarks made about a man admired by many Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers supporters.

From the "esteemed" OOJW writing on BRFCS (the same guy who proposed Roy Keane as Rovers manager a man who enjoyed purposely crippling other players. Never in his life has he given a toss what Jack Walker would have thought and now attacks a man who Jack had the greatest admiration and appreciation for.

"As much as I admired him as a player, and pity his wife, Colin Hendry sounds like an odious, boozed up, obnoxious, lying, childish, uncaring buffon from the details provided on that website and from many other media outlets.

No wonder Kean thinks he is a great guy and perfect for employment at Rovers!!!

No thanks Big Col. Enjoyed how you played for the club, when we were paying you handsomely.

Unfortunately, we now know all we need to know about you as a person and little of it is any good. Sadly, we don't need anymore 2nd rate, classless, drunken chancers at the club, so your application is not welcome.

Show us your ass indeed. I think he has shown all of us he is a total ass, full stop."

Well thanks OOJW for showing YOUR true colours and what a cancer you truly are. I've also notified Mr Hendry of the remarks via twitter so he can see what a bunch of ingrates some people are.

You bought his wife up or perhaps it's raised in the original point. It bothers me that people feel so pressured into cosmetic surgery, frankly she didn't need it. Any medical procedure has risk and when it comes to vanity is it really worth it.

Col was fighting an impossible battle in trying to make somebody pay. I think (and don't think I'm making light of anything) he'd have been better placed coming to terms with what had happened and ensuring his family were well.

That is not me talking low of him, as said as a player for Rovers he was a hero. Some of his actions since have not been the best for him...

There may well have been risks involved with that type of procedure (all operations have risks) but the doctor who did the surgery was proven to be completely incompetent.

Its not the first time Pie Eater has made such remarks. Denise Hendry was a 100% victim and would get sympathy from any decent person.

Not at all Vinjay, and yes I've commented on this before. There's people every day making decisions on procedures that may or may not better their health, grave risks and heart breaking decisions.

A very attractive lady for an unknown reason placed her life at risk for vanity. A 99.7% success rate stil means 1 in 300 goes wrong. Why risk it?

If the doctor was totally incompetent why didn't Hendry win the case? Why did he lose such copious amounts of money? Why turn to drink?

Vinjay and Shippy, don't think I don't empathise with what happened. A woman died and obviously it's sad, it's sad that Colin has had such turmoil. I'm just suggesting that we need to take a rounded view on it rather than attack one another.

Indeed Oojw's post may be too close to the bone for some but you're not afraid to extreme views yourselves...

I can not comment, but i'm guessing Denise decided that having such surgery would improve her life? God bless her.

God bless her family....

Pie.. would you berate her actions towards her family? Big Col? Any victim?

Shippy, it was a cosmetic procedure, botox, face lift, lypo suction etc - vanity rather than quality of life.

As said, sad, tragic etc. and unnecessary.

Then Colin's actions, pursue an unwinnable case, borrow money, turn to drink. He was a millionaire with kids that needed their dad.

I have no malice towards him, loved him as a player and thought he did more to win us the title than Shearer. I'm just raising the points at hand...

I have no idea why she went under the knife. I would like to think we all know why.
To berate that though, is just sad. She was a mother, a wife. She made that decision, with probably all members of the close family knowing about it..

You mock that decision though.. Well, not mock, but you know what i mean

I haven't mocked it at all. There's a few important points - she was an attractive woman thus why did she feel the need (media pressure etc). Secondly I don't think people calculate risk very well, 99.7% is great odds, if I was putting money on things with those odds I'd be a rich man. As I said though, that's 1 in every 300. One of my children had to go under anaesthetic and the hospital read you all the worse case scenario, it's scary and you realise you are pretty damn helpless...

Finally, as I say, the pursuing of legal action. In my eyes there were more important things to do. Also, what lawyer (probably on a hefty fee) told him to seek action. Medical legal compliance is water tight.

I reiterate, it's a sad tale without doubt...

'media pressure '

Eh?????

As for 'pursuing' legal action..

Was there reason for such action? Also, was he that low, broke, no work (media-football) and the fact he may have had a claim?

Very classy response from Colin's daughter Rheagan via twitter...

"you can't please everyone: people will always have an opinion but never know the facts. #cantpleaseeveryone"

"people forget he's a human. He's been through some awful times, & here he is holding his head high & trying 4 #BRFC"

Thought about mentioning Pie Eater's remarks but its hurtful enough for her seeing disrespectful remarks about her Dad without seeing her Mum condemned for the "crime" of getting cosmetic surgery.

The general pressure on women due to air brushed photos, aggressive marketing etc. I may just be a miserable old bar steward but fake tanned, big lipped, tummy tucked wimmin is a trend I just can't see the need for.

There was a few pieces written some years ago and Col was comfortably off. He spent the savings, re mortgaged the house, borrowed from family etc. in honesty I think he was doing it for what he believed was right, justice rather than compensation which makes it all the more a shame. As suggested above as well I'm pretty sure the twt on the suit will have got his cut...
