Dear SFA

Before our next qualifying campaign could you please sack Craig Levien and bring back Walter Smith. This will increase our chances of having a team our country can be proud of, increase our chances of qualifying and also allow our best striker back into the team.

Yours Faithfully, Scotland fan

The problem with sacking Levein is the better managers we have wouldn't take the job.

You mention Walter Smith but Levein is already utilising Walter's 10 men behind the ball strategy with all his might, doubt we'd improve under Smith.

Walter had one good result against France and the rest of his Scotland record was very so so, remember losing at home to Belarus?

I'm no lover of Levein that's for sure but until someone like Moyes or a semi-retired Sir Alex are interested in taking it we're pretty stuck unfortunately.

Agree with Eddie, there's no-one better that wants it or that we could afford.

I think we really need to come to terms with the quality of our squad as well. Besides on or two players we've no-one of any substantial quality. The vast majority of our players play in the lower end of EPL, the Championship and the SPL. Not the greatest pool of talent.

Most of our players can barely trap a ball and complain when it's hot. Top drawer pros they are!!

I actually think the philosophy Levein talks about is our best chance. That is, being solid, working hard going back, working as a team and attacking in numbers given the opportunity.

For most games, apart from the odd home game against lesser opposition, this is a fair enough strategy given what we have.

The problem is, we don't do this despite what he says, Miller has never and will never be good enough to be a lone striker and we haven't improved since Lithuania 2 years ago.

He also has to ditch his favourites when necessary which is another CL problem. Unfortunately these problems don't look like disappearing before the next campaign.

It will be 10 men behind the ball against Serbia who were trumped by Estonia last time out, just a bit of attacking policy at home Craig please!!!

There is now a story circulating that the SFA is asking for "financial" information from all clubs!
Could there be more "Rangers situations" out there?
If so, the firing of Levin could be a non-issue
