Saddened by the news

I arrive home back from work after an 8 hour shift and read quotes in several papers about Nani leaving. If reports turn out to be true, I will genuinely be upset to see him leave after 5 wonderful seasons with us.

I hate news like this. I feel so stressed out and annoyed. I haven't been this angry about a player wanting to leave for quite sometime now. Sometimes I wonder why I've made football such a big part of my life.

I have a lot of admiration for Nani as you guys may have noticed. This fella has never shown a lack of respect to anybody at United which is why my love for him is growing. He has never done anything that would disrupt or cause a problem in the dressing room. But, all of a sudden is open to moves away from England as he believes the footballing world doesn't revolve around England or Spain - is that another way of saying Juventus or Milan, come get me?

No player or manager at United is bigger than the club, but Nani has played a huge part in the last 5 years and simply cannot be lost; what harm could an increase in his wages do?

Lets be honest here, Nani has had one brilliant season for us the rest he's been very inconsistant and very frustrating, don't get me wrong i would rather he stayed but if we get an offer of 30 million plus we should take it, he won't be missed all that much, he isn't better than Toni V and Ashley Young does at least but some quality crosses in.

Bruce - He is better than Valencia when he plays on the right, but because Valencia can only play on the right Nani has had to make do with the left hand side. Ashley Young is no where near Nani's level..

Valencia is better then Nani. Nani may be more skilful and have more to his game then Valencia but he is inconsistent. Valencia is one of your best players and is your most creative player. Beats his man easily and thumps in a fantastic ball.

If I had a choice of taking Valencia or Nani I would take Valencia any day and all day.

I'm sick of all this 'nani is inconsistent' crap. He may be a little bit, but it's between very good and insane. It's only because you know what he's capable of, that when he doesnt do something brilliant people assume he doesn't do anything.
I personally think nani is one of the best players in the league and I would be absolutely gutted if he left.

It's contract negotiation time, this is standard procedure. Nothing in his interview suggests he wants to leave.

--------------

He hasn't said he wants to leave.. He's made a counter offer, so obviously he is happy in Manchester, he's just keeping his options open
