We have Gomez up front

gunnerthru, are you sure Klose will not start? Gomez may have been preferred against Israel, but I do not think this means he will definitely be in the starting 11.

March what do you think of Strootman? A lot of hype he's getting.

Strootman is brilliant.

@march
I dont know. We have only two striker with Gomez and Klose. I personally I would prefer Klose but Gomez is a Bayern player and I fear he will be prefered.

Saint, I quite like Strootman, a decent worker and passer, but even at 35, van Bommel is the better player and the captain. Van Bommel and de Jong will be first choice DMs for the Euros I presume. Strootman should be the natural long-term successor for van Bommel in the NT though imo.
gunnerthru, I think nothing is certain w/ the Klose/Gomez situation, and that even with Gomez in the team, you still should have enough quality to cause trouble for Portugal's defence.
