Someone explain to me what this guy does so that the itv commentators believe he should be first choice on the right wing.
He appears to be pretty solid defensively but is devoid of any creativity which is not what England need in their wide positions!! Maybe play him in the centre but really does nothing offensively to worry and decent left back.
He is consistently boring which seems to be what England want!
Despite their respective flaws Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Young, Gerrard and even Downing offer more of a threat and yet he's played the whole game today!

The amount of times Milner just did nothing with the ball today was shocking, he just stood there and waited to be talked. Totally devoid of creativity and initiative!

There was a moment during today's game when Glen Johnson literally ran in a straight line, with the ball, right at one of their players, and didn't even look like trying to change his course.

I saw that. He just sort of kicked the ball straight at a Belgian player who was a couple of yards in front of him.

Verminator you are the only one here who thinks Johnson was a better option than Richards, and '0 goals, 0 assists' Downing was a better option than Lennon. It is you that is deluded.

Downing is bad. Lennon is even worse.
It's not coz he plays for Spurs. Am I questioning Defoe's or Parker's inclusion in the squad? No.
Lennon is just pure <s>hite. Wouldn't be surprised if Spurs get Hoillett or someone else to replace him.
