Oh dear... poor Michael O'Neill!!

Michael O'Neill a league of Ireland legend and allround nice guy!!
The man who made history by leading Shamrock Rovers to the Group stages of the Europa League!!

What must be going through the man's mind tonight!!

6-0 against a Holland side who never really had to move out of third never mind second gear tonight!!!

O'Neill must feel very cheated by the NIreland players he put out on the pitch tonight. If it wasn't for Lee Camp the scoreline would surely have reached 10-0!!

Sympathies for O'Neill in what is surely the darkest hour of his Football career!!

Interesting to note that at least 5 of the NIreland team were born in England or Scotland last night. "Plastic Billys"!!!

Houghton, just you wait and see how long it is until Fokbaik posts a McLean response.

Hmm looks like 2 recently posted articles about last nights match in Amsterdam have been removed from the NIreland board
Grow a set lads. Ye can give it by the bucketload when it suits you but can't take a bit of Football banter when things aren't going your way.

Its like the little kid who runs home sulking with his ball when his team are losing in the park kick about

Just because you don't want to talk about it doesn't mean it didn't happen

Remember on the old 606, they were genuinely convinced they were better?

In fairness Henrik during the Staunton era when we were losing 5-2 to Cyprus and they were beating Spain they would have given us a good game. Especially at Windsor Park.
Back before i was "banned" from posting on the NIreland board i posted a genuine article asking the question as to why we have improved so much while they have gone the opposite way.

And yes you've probably guessed it my article was "removed"!!!

I think any NIreland fan who honestly believes that the inclusion of Evans,Mc Auley,Hughes, Davis, Brunt and Lafferty last night would have made that much of a difference to last nights result are living in cloud cuckoo land!!!

Im not for a second saying we would have got a result against holland. But evans and hughes instead of duff and mcpake would have stood a much better chance. As well as other players like brunt, davis. But the ifa have a lot to answer for by agreeing to such a match.

I agree Gawa . The IFA scored a major own goal last night. They took the money while knowing full well that your side faced the possibility of a major humiliation. And i thought the FAI were clowns!!

It was interesting to see Michael O'Neills reaction in the post match interview when he was asked about the wisdom of agreeing to this match. His face said it all when he said it wasn't his idea!!

The only good that could come out of this match from a NIreland perspective is that the stayaway players get the finger out and start applying themselves for their side again

If you look at the ROI's 0-0 away draw to Russia we were also outclassed and over ran. The difference was all our experienced players showed up and defended like demons for 90 minutes!!

Its a cliche but you cannot afford to give world class players like the Dutch have time and space on the ball

Dont worry! Michael and OWC will be alright! You wait and see.

Well Reiver it can't get any worse in fairness. Surely the 6-0 thrashing at the hands of the Dutch will mark a turning point in your sides fortunes

Provided they don't allow it to become a habit it is, ultimately, a meaningless result for Northern Ireland. O'Neill was quick to point out after the game he had no part in the scheduling of it and if NI get off to any sort of a decent start in WC qualifying it'll be forgotten.
