Praise for Owners

Kenny Dalglish has applauded Liverpool's owners for the way they have conducted business in the current transfer window.

The Reds have secured two high-profile signings before a ball has been kicked in pre-season, and Damien Comolli revealed this week that there will be more comings and goings yet.

Dalglish thinks principal owner John Henry and chairman Tom Werner deserve praise.

"The owners know what they are doing and we've had great support from them," he said. "They are running it the right way.

"John and Tom will give us whatever they can afford. We have to use that money with a certain amount of responsibility.

"We won't get everyone we are after this summer but other clubs won't always get who they have enquired about.

"That's just the way it is. We've done some business already and we'll continue to do what we are doing in a responsible manner."

Liverpool fly to China on their pre-season tour tomorrow after a tough week's training at Melwood.

And Dalglish has reported that Andy Carroll, Daniel Agger and Martin Kelly - each of whom ended last season injured - are in contention to play in the friendly against Guangdong Sunray Cave on Wednesday.

"The three of them are absolutely fine," Dalglish said. "They've played a full part in training and are fully recovered from the injuries.

"Training has been great this week and everyone is looking forward to the trip."

To right to! They saved the club and rid us of debt, and I'm sure they will do the best for the club in the future!

A special mention should go to Martin Broughton! That mans not to bad for a Chelsea fan!

Response by JW Henry yesterday to a fan who'd tweeted "WE WANT MATA! WE WANT MATA! WE WANT MATA!":

"Maybe you can march on Valencia. A TweetUp! How many of you are there? We could attack on four sides."

I like our new owners

Who thinks we will get him? We would just LIKE to get him. Who knows, it could happen. I don't think we will personally but you never know.
