Why do you think we need another central midfielder? We have Prutton, Semedo, O'Connor and Coke.. Just wondering..

I'm also rather surprised we offered JOC another contract, given the 2 players we've signed..

I hope we manage to sign Mellor but think we need another striker and a left-sided midfielder at the very least. Just imagine if JJ and, assuming we signed him, Mellor got injured early in the season - we would be seriously struggling..

As you say though, plenty time to get players in - just a bit concerned about the sort of players we're looking at. On the other hand, if we get Mellor and 1 other things will start to look up

If JJ gets injured early in the season i would be over the moon because then Megson would go for a proper right winger and not a headless chicken.

The other day, Megson mentioned that he has a style of play he wants to adopt next season. Based on the players he's signed and it targeting, I'm pretty sure he's looking at playing 4-4-2 with a solid defence covered by a relatively defensive minded centre mid pairing. He'll then have two fast wingers bombing forward and two big centre forwards.

As such, I think we'll need another centre forward and another left winger.

I think Dan Jones might play more than people are expecting next year.

yep we need some attacking players thats for sure ,but we still have time and so far all megsons signings have been top notch ! apart from joc that is ?
will dyer be his next move ? or koumas ? but i realy do feel hes going to buy big up front and the name will surprise all off us !

I'm paranoid about our midfield after Potter JOC & Miller if I'm honest. I don't rate JOC one bit, Prutton was instrumental in a side that got relegated from league 1! Coke disappeared after the first 5 games of last season. Semedo should be a very good signing, but I'm not confident of the others yet!

coke should be better off this year ,due to having to train like a man ! and not right down silly stats on paper with irvine .
so im realy hopefull hell play more games and play better for it
prutton could play when i saw him with leeds ,but honestly why would they let swindon sign him if he was all that ?
joc is going to play better this year ,as it would be impossible to play any worst than last ?
and palmer will also come on leaps and bounds if given the chance ,the youngster has natural talent ! lets hope megson helps him on, and doesnt give him the cold shoulder treatment ? we look good at the moment but we need more signings if to be affective and get out off this league ,4 or 5 more would be good !
remember theres going to injuries so good cover is essential ! that i feel we have at the back but lets say semedo and coke are out injured with jj offcourse ! then sedgwick jones and joc have to play

I think deals at this time of the closed season take longer to materialise given that many agents and players have a few fingers in a few pies. I do think that we need a squad that will be hard to break down and score against, I suppose Megson is starting from this basis perhaps? Personally I would also love to see some 'flair' players and proven goalscorers come in. I just can't see where we'll get them from to be honest.

I do think that our squad is taking a good shape though, I really like the signing of Semedo, I reckon he will harden up our midfield and give that much needed protection for the CB's, this was lacking last year definitely, Potter et al just couldn't cut it despite their undoubted abilities - wrong players wrong time maybe?.

im hopeful that meggo will get it right, if he gets the system correct then we will be fine.
if we can get the ball out wide and put quality balls in the box rather than hopeful punts in there then we may see the best of madine and morrison.
far too often our forwards played with their backs to goal and unless they have a trick or two and a turn of pace then goals are not going to come easy.
i like daniel jones going forward but he isnt great defensively, but his quality at set pieces could be vital.
the biggest thing that needs to change at s6 is the lack of responsibility, players need to stand up and be counted and when things arent going so well, then the players need to show some gumption and then we will be a far better team.

I think we should play Daniel Jones on the wing, as i genuinely feel this guy has something to offer, given the chance.
