Cardiff Reds!!!

So money and greed has won over tradition and history. A very sad day for the "beautiful" game.

The game I've loved for 50 odd years is dead.

Lets face it, there will be ways of getting around the FPP.. Lets say for instance the investors bought up 90% of unsold season tickets.?
-------------------------
So they would sell themselves 90% of the season tickets and then give the taxman 20% of that in vat with no bums on seats. Doesn't make sense

Guessed as much, was going to enquire last night!

I hope you are persuaded to carry on your support as long as possible, but fully understand your feelings about the state of the game.

I'm encouraged that our club is attempting to do things the right way, though I understand the implications. I'm still, as always, optimistic about our future chances, we can do more than just survive!

In 1902 Newton Heath FC were served with a winding up order, John Henry Davies & others put a few hundred pounds in (a fair sum in those days) he changed the kit from white/navy blue to red white & black, and changed the name to Manchester United. A couple of years later they were promoted to Division 1, two years after they won their first title.
Football didn't die then, and history seems to have worked out for them. Kits change, names change, but the fans remain. The fans are the heart & soul of a club, not the shirts you wear.

...Newton Heath were a few years old with little support and no tradition...

Yes, the fans are the heart and soul of a club...and the generations of Cardiff fans are very much secondary to "fans" in Asia....PATHETIC.

Newton Heath had been going for 20 odd years, Liverpool only started wearing all red when Shankley joined them, Leeds have worn allwhite since the 60's, and Arsenal's Red shirt with white sleeves only came in in the mid 30's does that make them all pathetic?
If you're going to use this as a poor excuse to have a go at rival fans, that's fine, but at least be honest about it & stop pretending you're mourning another "death of the game I loved", it just makes you sound like such a drama queen.

Would be interested to gauge your reaction should City's owners decided to change your strip to red...

Your club used to be a club to be proud of...You're just another Man U now...Sad that money rules completely.

You always have the option not to buy one

Sadly, Webbo, your club is probably about to discover what happens when a dependency on an owner's funds are withdrawn...
