Impact of Kagawa

Given the Kagawa Deal is almost done, I wanted to discuss the effects he will have on the team. Last seasons signings only improved the strength of the squad and NOT the quality of the 1ST TEAM!!!! The team desperately lacked creativity (esp in the middle) and none of those players brought that

Young- Not better than Nani or Valencia
De Gea- Replaced VDS so more of a like for like replacement
Jones- CB plus Too Young and raw
Cleverly- Way too injury prone to be relied on.Even at that I think he is a quality back up in midfield when fit and not one to play wk in wk out

Kagawa brings a much needed new dimension to our team while we play him behind Rooney. His quick feet, passing range, skill e.t.c are similar to David Silva except Kagawa has a better eye for goal. Nani is for me the only player in the 1st 11 that can COMFORTABLY beat his man. Adding Kagawa greatly improves our abilities to retain possesion in tight spaces and breakdown defenses

To get the best out of our 2 main flair players, we have to play a more possesion based game.Meaning:
-Should really have at least 60% possesion against almost any team home or away (exception being Barca....maybe City but should be 50/50 with them)
-More quick, short fluid passing, with alot of through balls
-No more aimless crossing of the ball by Young and Valencia which leads to loss of possesion
-No more constantly launching the ball to Nani or Valencia on the wings hoping they create something out of nothing.
-No more launching the ball to Rooney up front to feed off Scraps

To achieve this WE MUST BUY AT LEAST 1 QUALITY PASSING CM!!!! We probably have to unload one or 2 CMs in the process

Scholes- Ideal player for the role - 10 yrs ago though.quality backup.KEEP
Fletcher- We have no idea what we are going to get from him. 100% he is not a skilled enough passer to fulfil the role. Quality back up.KEEP
Carrick-Pushing 30 but still giving steady performances. Looks very good playing with a top quality CM and very bad with an average CM.Would be ideal to partner the new CM.KEEP
Cleverly- Has shown promise but still very young and incredibly injury prone. Can not rely on him to fill such a role when he can barely stay fit. Quality back-up.KEEP
Pogba- Seems off to Juventus. Such a shame

Anderson- Not only is he injury prone but he is yet to actually prove he should playing wk in wk out when fit.Too many average to below average performances sprinkled with some quality performances. His touch and passing range are average.I am sorry ppl, IT HAS BEEN 5 yrs.HE HAS TO GO!!!!! We lost the PL cuz of lack of quality in CM and we cant keep waiting on him to somehow turn into the second coming of Scholes. For the last 3 yrs he has had make or break seasons and failed to knock down a place in the 1st team. ENOUGH HAS TO BE ENOUGH!!!!!

De Gea
Rafael Smalling Vidic Evra/New LB Hopefully
Valencia Carrick CM Nani
Kagawa
Rooney

Please discuss possible options???Modric, Javi Martinez, Strootman e.t.c

The football have been average and Anderson has been injured. So how is it Anderson's fault?

========================================================================================

I never said it was his fault.Utds biggest problem is a lack of creativity in CM. That directly leads to alot of unecessary hoofing and inability to keep possesion. Which also leads to poor football as you can imaging

ANderson was supposed to be the player to fill in the creative void of the team after Scholes in CM. He has not been able to do that. Whether he has been injured or has had poor form, it still does not change the fact that he has NOT done the job he was brought here to do. Its been 5 years.

Its time to move on and go get someone to do the job.If Anderson is willing to stay and warm the bench well fine. But still we need to go out and get a top quality passing CM

Scholes will play 25 or so games next year and Sir Alex has faith in Clevs to step up.

Would you rather see a fit Clevs performing to Sir Alex's expectations or a superstar signing?

I would be unhappy to see kagawa playing in a midfield 2; it would just be a repeat of anderson. Kagawa is better behind the striker, in that 'Rooney Role', which frankly i think he is better than rooney at. Playing him at left wing would not be good as he tends to cut in a lot and this takes away our width. I'm sure SAF would try him in all these positions but i would like him behind rooney for most part of next season.

Scholes is almost 40!!!We can not keep relying on him. I take whatever he gives us as a bonus.

Cleverly has barely gotten his feet wet yet only played 8 games all last season. His has been injury prone his whole career!!!Even at that, he is still yet to prove anything at the highest level. How did we go from having a Prime Scholes/Keane in CM to relying on an unproven injury prone youngster for the whole season???

Scholes playing on affords Sir Alex time to assess Clevs further. This is not rocket science. Sir Alex has stated that he feels Clevs will become the best midfielder in the PL. Let's give the boy a chance eh? he's just 22 ffs and missed alot of his first season in the PL with United

Scholes just gives Sir Alex more time to see if Clevs makes the grade. I don't see anything wrong with that whatsoever.

Chelsea buy teams. use them. bin them. then buy another. They are doing it now. Since last Jan last year they have spent 120m on new players and are spending 32m on Hazard, god knows how much on hulk and let players go for feck all

United are far more canny than that. Sir Alex builds over a period of time (which he's been doing' and he has a nucleus of young players who will all improve over the coming seasons. Clevs will hopefuly be one of them (thanks to Scholes)

I would rather wait and see what our players do rather than just spend a bomb for a quick fix. Sorry

Listen I used to just read this 606 but now I decided to get an account. Ppl hear have been crying all year about injuries to CM.Well now here is a chance to rectify that and you are still saying no.

You have faith and want to take your chances.Thats cool!!! But what happens when Anderson and Cleverly both get injured then Scholes has to play 90mins wk in wk out. Then we now have to start pushing Giggs aswelll as Rooney into CM????It happened 2 seasons ago, happened last season and it will definitely happen next season

If we end up not getting at least 1 quality CM, I do not want to hear any of you rue our injury luck when Cleverly and Anderson get injured

Not sure if you have noticed, but our left sided width is usually held by Evra. Our left wide men cuts inside a lot more than our right side were TV usually keeps the width. So I can't really see Kagawa playing on the left as a problem.

Mate i'm sure ashley young holds the width; evra just overlaps him. You should know this. Haven't you seen rooney pinging diagonals at young?

A new signing has just as much chance of getting injured
