With the Euros fast approaching I have seen many articles on this site where people have commented saying "Spain have peaked" "Teams don't win three major tournaments in a row". To these people - I ask weren't you these same people who said they wouldn't win the World cup because teams don't win two major tournaments in a row? What's different now?
Do they have the best first 11 out of all the sides in the tournament? Yes. Do they have the best overrall squad out of all the teams in the Euros? Yes. Do they have the best previous experience of winning major tournaments recently? Yes. Why are you overlooking them?
If you ask me, they will win the Euros once again. Rather comfortably. Yes, Germany, Netherlands, France etc have great sides but they don't have the squad, the winning mentality and experience of winning these major tournaments like Spain now have. So Spain should and will win the Euros. They are the clear favourites to win it. I really am confused to why people don't even think they are the favourites. Ludicrous.
Spain will win the Euros and Robin Van Persie will be the top goal-scorer you all know it. You just don't want to admit it because you are tired of them winning the last two major international tournaments. Irritation clouds your judgement.
Why are people underestermating Spain?

"Well, Llorente's record in the past few seasons have been good. Technique is overrated, imo. The likes of Lineker, Shearer, Wright, Andy Cole, Yorke etc weren't particularly technically strong."

Yeah, his goalscoring record isn't bad, but that doesn't tell the whole story. I prefer to judge player's based on there all-round, not just their goalscoring record and stats.
I mean I don't think he's a bad player, but he's not a very good one either.
And technical ability's importance all depends on your team's style and approach.

Kamran
All around us, our beautiful and sacred language is slowly dying, losing the battle against the ignorant and slothful hordes. And yet the proud Kamranic warriors continue to fight to protect it.
Fight on, brave warriors. Fight on.

'Lego' is an anagram of 'Oleg', as in 'Oleg Luzhny'.
