What a great first season he has had, and I am sure he will be twice the player next year, not to mention the fact that he will have Hazard and Hulk (hopefully) around him. Does anybody remember that moment in the City game at the bridge where he nutmegged Kompany and Skinned Toure (Probably the two of the best five in the league) or that majestic turn and cross against Newcastle.
Really excited to see how he does next year!

Have to admit before signing him I wasn't sold. Same with Cahill, but both have been immense.

Yes Mata is great but he can be bad with penalties and his finishing isn't always great.
Also I am thinking that after Mata plays at Euros for Spain and then at Olympics after such a hectic 2011/2012 season Mata will struggle for form and fitness.
He will be good after some rest at end of 2012/2013 season and then he will play very well after that!

Mata is just in the Spain Euros spuad to make up the numbers as he wont start any matches,hence why he wants to play at Olympics where he will definitely start.
